Sunday - Welcome to Montenegro

After what will hopefully be a relaxing journey, we’ll be welcoming you at a small auto camp on the Bay of Risan. From our waterfront pitch, you’ll enjoy stunning views of the nearby mountains and the southernmost fjord in Europe, which is made up of several bays—including the legendary Bay of Kotor. With summer-like temperatures, you can take a swim at the camp’s own beach. In the evening, we’ll enjoy a welcome dinner together on the club’s terrace.

Monday – A Relaxed Driving Day

Not far from our camp, we leave the lively coastline behind and take a short connecting stage along narrow roads, leading us to our first off-road track. This adventurous route winds its way up the mountains, offering impressive views and beautiful picnic spots that give a taste of what’s to come in the days ahead. Skirting a collapsed military road requires skilled driving from all participants. Along the way, we visit the ruins of the largest garrison bakery in the Balkans and learn fascinating details about the conflicts of the 19th century.

In the afternoon, we continue along a scenic off-road trail to our riverside camp for the night, where a delicious fish BBQ awaits us.

Tuesday – Mountain Highway

As small as the country may be, each valley and ridge reveals a different character. Rugged rocks, lush greenery, blooming meadows, and a bright blue sky create a vivid play of colors. We continue climbing higher into the mountains on wide tracks with our 4x4 vehicles. The panorama changes by the hour—the paths grow narrower, the rock formations more surreal. Welcome to the land where lynx and hare bid each other goodnight.

Shortly before the end of today’s tour, we’ll visit a mountain farmer, where you’ll have the chance to buy honey, schnapps, and other local products. The nearby mini-camp offers modern showers, electricity, a disposal station for chemical toilets if needed, and the option to pre-order bread, drinks, and other essentials.

Wednesday – A Thousand Stars

Today’s off-road tour begins just a short distance from the campsite. We’ll pass several monasteries with metal roofs glistening in the sun as we steadily climb toward the mountain peaks. Breathtaking panoramas, photo spots, and scenic rest areas await us along the way.

In the afternoon, we’ll stretch our legs with a short walk to a romantic mountain lake before continuing along adventurous trails to a small mountain hut village, where a hearty Montenegrin dinner awaits us. As night falls, we’ll gather around the campfire to gaze at the stars before settling in for the night in our rooftop tents or vehicles. The camp is equipped with toilets and showers.

Thursday – Offroad & Relaxation

After a relaxed breakfast with mountain views, we continue our track southeast toward the Albanian border. In this region lies the source of the Tara River, Montenegro’s most famous waterway. We’ll visit the spring and cool off in its ice-cold waters. If needed, drinking water supplies can be refilled here using portable canisters.

Our route then takes us to a chapel perched high in the mountains. Several small water crossings along the way offer great photo opportunities. During the day, we’ll gather firewood for the evening campfire. In the afternoon, we’ll arrive at a romantic mountain lake where we can relax and reflect on the impressions of the past days.

Friday – Journey to Paradise

On this final day, we want to savor every moment with all our senses. In the morning, we head off-road one last time as we make our way back to civilization. Our destination: Lake Skadar (Skadarsko Jezero), the largest lake in the Balkans. Nestled deep within the mountains and fed by the Crnojević River, it offers a peaceful and scenic escape.

A short boat tour will give us a whole new perspective on Montenegro’s mountain landscapes—a true feast for the eyes and ears. Afterwards, we’ll drive our vehicles toward the scenic highlight of the entire tour. At a stunning lookout point, we’ll enjoy a delicious lunch buffet with breathtaking views, before it’s time to say once more:
