The NAVIS roof rack was developed as a modular system. The roof rack made of high-quality aluminum is not only very light, but also extremely stiff. The high load capacity of 300 kg is unique in this segment.

We chose airline brackets so that you can continue to use your fittings with our system. The NAVIS is built so low that the overall height of the vehicle does not change compared to the original railing.

We test every system on the vehicle until we are satisfied with the result and we achieve our horntools quality.

Danger:

The roof rack system is only suitable for double cabs with original mounting options on the roof.

• Dynamic load capacity: 100 kg

The dynamic load capacity is not the manufacturer's approval.
The manufacturer's load capacity must not be exceeded.
The static load indicates the load capacity when stationary.
The dynamic load capacity refers exclusively to paved roads.
The load must be evenly distributed across the area.

Exams and certificates:

The roof racks were tested by Mercedes-Benz for the X-Class and manufacturer approval was given. The NAVIS also has a TÜV test. Each individual roof rack is tested before powder coating and measured using a special gauge. It is then assembled for testing. This ensures that every wearer fits. We drive countless kilometers - on and off-road, with and without a load - to offer you a perfectly tailored roof rack for your vehicle. We don't build a one-size-fits-all solution, but rather test each attachment system until it is perfectly adapted to your vehicle and works well.

TEC TALK:

The roof rack was tested for noise and strength while driving on various vehicles for approx. 1500 km. The bottom line is that the round tube means that the additional wind noise is minimal and doesn't bother you. From 120-140 km/h the wind noise on roof racks becomes noticeably louder. In exceptional cases, a louder wind noise or a roar can occur; the reason is often tension in the carrier, as the vehicle and the carrier have tolerances in production. In these cases it usually helps to loosen the carrier again and build it up without tension. If there is still annoying wind noise, installing a spoiler or additional LED lamps will help.
